The Rose Group’s Principal: Ken Rose

Ken Rose has practiced employment and labor law for more than 40 years. Ken received his law degree, with honors, from the George Washington University Law School in 1976. He received his college degree from the Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations in 1972.

Ken represents employers with regard to international employment law issues, wrongful termination litigation, the development of employment policies and procedures, employment discrimination, sexual harassment, compliance with the ADA, wage and hour laws, employment discipline and termination, employee benefits, and labor relations matters. Ken is one of the few U.S. lawyers with extensive experience assisting multinationals with employment law issues concerning operations in foreign countries.

Ken is the author of Lawful Hiring: A Primer for California Employers, published by R&J Legal Publishers, and co-author of the chapter “U.S Employment and Labor Law” in the International Handbook on Contracts and Employment, published by the International Bar Association and Kluwer Law International. In addition, Ken has authored numerous published articles on employment law issues of importance to domestic, foreign, and multinational companies.

Ken is a Judge Pro Tem of the California Superior Court. He is a member of the American Bar Association’s Section of International Law and the International Labor Law Committee of the American Bar Association’s Section of Labor and Employment Law, the International Bar Association and the XBHR (a multi-disciplinary, global forum for professional advisors and academics who are experts in cross-border human resources issues).

Prior to forming The Rose Group, Ken was a shareholder with Littler Mendelson and Chair of its International Employment Law Group.
